Prize Wheel!

*At the November PIGC meeting, members selected a business or other organization to solicit prizes, art, crafts, and/or gift certificates.
Now we need all the prizes!!!  *If you haven’t already done so, please go get your prizes ASAP!
*Be sure to attach an information sheet to each prize that you donate.  If you’re not sure of a value, make a good guess, and be sure to note your name and phone number.

If you have any other NEW items that you would like to donate, that we might be able to use for gifts, baskets and/or basket making, we would like those items as well.  Please - no used items, no used artwork, etc.

We could also use baskets, (and other containers to make gifts with, flower pots, buckets, etc), basket wraps, wired ribbon for bow making, etc., and some bottles of wine!
Note on Large Breakable items and other similar prizes:   If you have prizes that are large, easily scratched, breakable or otherwise easily damaged or spoiled, (rain barrels, painted furniture, etc.), do not bring them to us on the collection date.  Instead, take a photo of the item, and attach that photo to an information sheet about the item.  Bring the photo and sheet ASAP and then bring the item to the Raffle area early on the morning of the GALA.

PINE ISLAND GARDEN CLUB

Dear Merchant,

The Pine Island Garden Club will be presenting its 22nd annual Garden Club Gala on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Phillips Park, one block from Pine Island Center.

The Gala is a fun filled day for the entire island community and hundreds of off Islanders.

The Park will be filled with a variety of plants for sale from top growers and garden club members, as well as treasures from island artists and crafters. This event is free to the public!

Our largest contributor to the Gala is the raffle. We ask local merchants, vendors, and members to donate gift certificates or merchandise.

This is a wonderful opportunity to advertise, promote traffic in your place of business and to help fund local charities. ALL OF THE FUNDS GENERATED ARE DISTRIBUTED TO THE FOLLOWING:

CALUSA LAND TRUST

P| ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
C.R.O.W.

BEACON OF HOPE

PINE ISLAND FOOD PANTRY

The funds also help us maintain Phillips Garden Park and the grounds of the Museum of the Island.

We would greatly appreciate your participation and support. If you have questions please do not hesitate to phone one of us directly. You may also make a monetary donation or voucher. Checks should be made out to PIGC.

Please mail to: Beth Smith, 3107 Bracci Dr., St James City, FL. 33956

Garden Gala Coffee and Bake Sale

Bring a baked item to the Gala!  Our booth is located next to the Raymond James building parking lot and we will be there at 6:15 am.

The instructions below need to be followed:

1)  Brownies, cookies,  and muffins - Place 1 to 6 depending on size in a small plastic bag and label each bag.

2)  Sweetbreads, pies, and cakes - Do not cut.  We can usually sell them whole.  Small loaves are popular.

3) Cakes and cupcakes with icing or anything that needs refrigeration is not acceptable.

4) If the item contains nuts, it must be noted on the label.

5) Sugar-free and gluten-free items are welcomed.  We always sell out.

6) Do not use press and seal wrap.  The item can not be clearly seen.

7) We will price all items. Be sure to label each one.

8) If you want a dish returned, be sure to put your name on the bottom.

We always have a very successful bake sale because of the support of our members!
